A new action-packed season of "Reacher" is back today on Prime Video!
Season 3 of Reacher continues to impress with its perfect balance of gritty action, suspenseful plots, and the return of Alan Ritchson in the role of Jack Reacher. The Prime Video series, based on Lee Child's novels, never shies away from delivering intense, action-packed sequences that keep viewers on their toes from start to finish as Jack Reacher, a veteran military police investigator continues to find himself in dicey situations where he takes justice into his own hands. Season 3 kicked off today, February 20th on Prime Video with a 3 episode release.
This season adapts Persuader, the seventh book in the Jack Reacher series, sending Reacher on an undercover mission with the DEA. He teams up with Agent Susan Duffy (played by Sonya Cassidy), whose tough yet empathetic character serves as an excellent foil to Reacher’s straightforward persona. Their dynamic adds emotional depth to the story, and Cassidy’s performance stands out as she balances the action with a touch of vulnerability. Their teamwork grows throughout the season, making it more than just a series of fight scenes—it becomes a tale of trust and loyalty.
The plot kicks off with a high-stakes operation that dives deep into the world of drug cartels, corrupt officials, and dangerous criminals. While the narrative may feel familiar to fans of the action genre, the show finds ways to inject freshness with unexpected twists, solid character development, and Reacher’s trademark sharp wit. Viewers can expect plenty of the show’s signature slow-burn suspense before an explosive pay-off.
As always, the fight choreography is top-notch. The action sequences are visceral and well-executed, showcasing Reacher’s ability to take on multiple opponents at once and come out victorious. These scenes are a treat for fans who love well-crafted hand-to-hand combat and large-scale shootouts. The attention to detail in the action moments continues to elevate the series above many other similar offerings.
Ritchson’s portrayal of Reacher remains one of the standout elements, perfectly capturing the character’s no-nonsense attitude, impressive physicality, and sharp mind.

The supporting cast also shines in Season 3, particularly the addition of Anthony Michael Hall, who plays Zachary Beck, a key antagonist. Hall brings a menacing quality to the role, and his character is both ruthless and calculated. Olivier Richters, as Paulie, adds to the tension, portraying a towering adversary whose physical presence alone brings a new challenge for Reacher. Both characters contribute to the escalating stakes that keep the audience invested in the story.
What truly sets Reacher apart from other action-driven shows is its ability to create a satisfying narrative without relying solely on spectacle. It’s about Reacher’s methodical approach to solving problems, the relationships he builds along the way, and the moral choices that push the story forward. Season 3 finds a delicate balance between action and drama, giving us moments of quiet reflection that counterbalance the loud, explosive sequences.
Reacher Season 3 is a thrilling, intense, and well-crafted. Season 3 will surely satisfy fans of the book, adaptation streaming series, and newcomers to the show. Episodes will release weekly each Thursday on Prime Video through March 27, 2025.
It’s clear that the creators have found their rhythm, the writers have found new chapters and ways to provide an entertaining story, and Alan Ritchson has also continued to prove he is the perfect fit for this role. Whether you’re watching for the non-stop action, the compelling characters, or the intricate plotting, this season does not disappoint.
