Adult animated comedy "Big Mouth" has officially ended after 8 seasons and 81 episodes.
Big Mouth is an American adult animated coming-of-age sitcom created by Andrew Goldberg, Nick Kroll, Mark Levin, and Jennifer Flackett for Netflix.
Throughout it’s 81 episode span, the series ahs boasted several stellar and noteworthy voice actors in lead a, guest, and recurring roles such as: Ayo Edebiri, Maya, Rudolph, Seth Rogan, Jean Smart, Brian Tyree Henry, Hugh Jackman, Wanda Skyes, Steve Buscemi, Lin Manuel Miranda, Megan Thee Stallion, Jordan Peele, Kristen Bell, and many more! Some guest often voiced the role of themselves in some of the most whacky, risqué, and crudely comedic ways, staying true the nature of this hilariously crass and overtly provocative series.
The series aired for eight seasons between 2017 and 2025. The series centers on students based on Kroll and Goldberg's upbringing in suburban New York, with Kroll voicing his fictionalized younger self. Big Mouth explores puberty while embracing an openness about the human body and sex.
The raunchy, crass, explicit oddball adult comedy has promised to leave audiences with a satisfying ending to the long running scripted series.
In the eighth and final season of Big Mouth which premiered today on Netflix, our beloved Bridgeton teens tackle new challenges as high schoolers such as: driving, drugs, sexual inexperience, enthusiastic consent, porn and the teenage mind, cancel culture, their changing bodies, and (in the end) fear of the looming future. Through it all, friendship is the cornerstone for surviving this time of life – whether one’s puberty is just beginning, like for Nick who gets his first growth spurt, or near its conclusion, like for a maturing (and prematurely balding) Andrew.
At the height of the season, when many of our characters are in crisis, Compassion (personified as a new creature voiced by Holly Hunter), emerges as a crucial way forward. Ultimately, though, this season is about the importance of sticking by and supporting your friends, especially when life gets overwhelming and messy. In the end, our kids step into the harrowing unknown of the future, made less afraid of what’s to come because they have each other.
