Carême arrives on Apple TV+ April 30, 2025. The series follows the thrilling story of the world’s first celebrity chef, Antonin Carême (Benjamin Voisin), who rose from humble beginnings in Paris to the height of culinary stardom in Napoleon’s Europe. While he dreams only of becoming the most famous chef in the world, his talent and ambitions attract the attention of renowned and powerful politicians, who use him as a spy for France. From an impoverished background, the gifted, sexy, and motivated young Chef sets out to carve a new path… leaving his mark on both French dining and French diplomacy.
Inspired by the book “Cooking for Kings: The Life of Antonin Carême, the First Celebrity Chef” by multi-award-winning historian and actor Ian Kelly. The series Carême is created by Kelly and Davide Serino. Apple TV+’s French language drama Carême will have a two episode premiere, followed by one episode weekly every Wednesday through June 11.
As the worlds first celebrity chef, Carême’s culinary gifts gave him access to many of the most powerful people in Napoleon's Europe—access that is then used to further a political agenda’s, blackmail, and personal gain. Power moves are made, political agendas shift, and dinner meetings become a place where more than just the delightful delicacies are discussed.
