NBC’s new medical drama turns into a disaster movie in its two-part Season 1 finale. The first episode of the two part finale is titled “The Doctors Whose World Collapsed”. The finale airs at 8:00 pm Central tonight on NBC.
In this episode, Dr. Wolf, Dr. Nichols, and the hospital staff rush to save lives both in the hospital and on the scene of a mass casualty apartment complex collapse. Inside the building when it collapses, the fate of intern Ericka also hangs in the balance. Worried for her safety, her peers are hoping for the best as the stress of this catastrophic event begins to weigh on staff members in different ways.
The first episode of the two part finale is riveting and fast paced! It takes audiences straight to the scene of this horrible mass casualty building collapse. First responders rush to save lives, firemen are trying to free the trapped, and anyone with any medical knowledge or education that is near the scene tries to lend a hand in order to help. Amidst the collapsed building, a retired physician (guest star Mandy Patinkin) offers his assistance and then some at the catastrophic scene.
As this tragedy seems like it might hit close to home, the staff at Bronx General Hospital push through their own feelings in order to continue treating patients and saving lives. With Ericka’s status uncertain, this episode is both exhilarating and emotional.
Then at 9:00 pm Central, the second part of the season finale titled, “The Man Who Can’t See Faces,” has Dr. Wolf connect with a pastor that has mysterious visions. However, underneath the surface, these visions just may be hiding something harmful and unhealthy. Meanwhile the interns continue to deal with the building collapse’s fallout. This game changing episode is sure to have viewers thoroughly entertained.
These two finale episodes are a perfect ending to a stellar and fresh season for this medical drama.
