Yesterday (June 21, 2024), Apple TV+ has announced its July 2024 programming that is set to be added to the streaming service next month. The Apple TV+ July 2024 lineup includes the sci-fi family series Me, the limited drama/mystery series Lady in the Lake, the docuseries Omnivore, and the epic adventure, comedy series Time Bandits.
Lady in the Lake is a seven-part limited series starring Academy Award and Golden Globe Award winner Natalie Portman, who also serves as executive producer, and Emmy Award nominee Moses Ingram. The series was created and directed by Alma Har’el.
Lady in the Lake will make its debut on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes on Friday, July 19, 2024, followed by new episodes every Friday through August 23, 2024.
When the disappearance of a young girl grips the city of Baltimore on Thanksgiving 1966, the lives of two women converge on a fatal collision course. Maddie Schwartz (Portman) is a Jewish housewife seeking to shed a secret past and reinvent herself as an investigative journalist, and Cleo Johnson (Ingram) is a mother navigating the political underbelly of Black Baltimore while struggling to provide for her family.
Their disparate lives seem parallel at first, but when Maddie becomes fixated on Cleo’s mystifying death, a chasm opens that puts everyone around them in danger. From visionary director Alma Har’el.
Starring alongside Portman and Ingram in the series are Y’lan Noel, Brett Gelman, Byron Bowers, Noah Jupe, Josiah Cross, Mikey Madison, and Pruitt Taylor Vince.
Me is an elevated cinematic coming-of-age story from Barry L. Levy, it premieres globally on Friday, July 12. The live-action family series follows a 12-year-old kid named Ben in the throes of middle school (complete with bullies, crushes, and school dances!) as he adjusts to a newly blended family and the realization that he has superpowers.
Me is an Apple Original created by Levy, who also serves as showrunner, executive producer, and series writer alongside Michael Dowse who also serves as director.
The series stars Lucian-River Chauhan as Ben Vasani and will have 10 episodes.
The docuseries Omnivore takes viewers on an immersive journey into the world of food. Through the lens of the key ingredients that connect us all, the series explores the profound beauty and intricate complexities of the human experience.
Each episode of Omnivore celebrates the cultivation, transformation, and consumption of eight of the world’s most essential ingredients, including bananas, chilies, coffee, corn, pork, rice, salt, and tuna, revealing how they serve as the cornerstones of global cultural heritage around the world.
Omnivore premieres July 19, 2024. This series is produced for Apple TV+ by FIFTH SEASON and FILM 45 with executive producers Redzepi, Goulding, Chris Rice, Ben Liebmann, Michael Antinoro, Max Wagner, Collin Orcutt and Mateo Willis.
