The five-part psychological drama launches exclusively on April 16, 2025, on Disney+ in the UK and worldwide. In the U.S., Freeform will roll out episodes weekly at 10:00 p.m. ET beginning April 16, 2025, and episodes will be available to stream the next day on Hulu. The suspenseful series centers on Elisa (Denise Gough) and her husband, criminal lawyer Fred (Jim Sturgess) realize that their eldest child, Lucia (Beatrice Cohen) has been kidnapped while on a hastily arranged sleepover at a new school friend’s house.
Audiences will find themselves immersed in this harrowing and thrilling tale. A seemingly ordinary decision turns the world of Elisa, mum to two young kids, upside down in this tense thriller. When her 9-year-old daughter Lucia excitedly asks to go on an overnight playdate with her new best friend Josie, Elisa agrees. After meeting Josie’s mother, Rebecca, she’s put at ease by her charming nature and their impressive house. But when she says goodnight to her daughter, she has no idea that she is about to be thrust into every parent’s worst nightmare.
The next day, when Elisa goes to pick up Lucia, she discovers that the beautiful house was a holiday rental. Lucia is missing. Rebecca and Josie have vanished. What started out as her daughter’s first sleepover has turned into an abduction.
As an urgent manhunt unfolds across Europe, Elisa and her husband Fred find themselves the object of police and public scrutiny. Elisa’s perfect family begins to unravel under the pressure, and long-buried secrets come to light. Rebecca took Lucia for a reason. And as viewers learn more about the tangled lives of these women, the question of whether Rebecca was justified in kidnapping the little girl arises – and if she might be better off staying hidden.

Episode 1
Elisa is late to pick up her daughter Lucia from school when Rebecca, the mother of Lucia’s new friend, suggests a sleepover for the girls. When she goes to pick Lucia up the next morning, she discovers Lucia’s missing.
Episode 2
Elisa and Fred are in limbo as the police speculate that an organized criminal gang might be involved. Meanwhile, a mysterious prisoner, Marcus Turner, collects news clippings about Lucia’s disappearance, and Fred’s behavior is suspicious.

A flashback shows Rebecca preparing to abduct Lucia in Southern France, and in the present day, she reveals shocking news to Lucia. Meanwhile, Selma continues to investigate Elisa and discovers her dark past.
