Dune: Prophecy is inspired by the novel SISTERHOOD OF DUNE, written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.
HBO and Max will release Dune: Prophecy on Sunday, November 17 at 9 p.m. ET. There will be six episodes in the series. New episodes will air simultaneously every week on Sunday. December 22, 2024, is the date of the finale.

HBO’s prequel series “Dune: Prophecy” explores the history of the Bene Gesserit. They are a secretive sisterhood mentioned in the “Dune” films. The Denis Villeneuve-directed films focus on Paul Atreides. He is a young nobleman from House Atreides. He finds his destiny on the desert planet Arrakis. The only source of the valuable spice mixture that grants enhanced skills and facilitates space travel is this desolate planet.
In the Dune movie, House Atreides and its foes, House Harkonnen, fight for control of Arrakis. Their war is driven by ambition and greed. However, the Bene Gesserit are secretly controlling events behind these conflicts, influencing the galaxy’s destiny with their ancient magical abilities.
Although some are skeptical, fans of the franchise Dune or excited for this new series. The storyline will connect and engage both old and new viewers alike. Captivating imagery, bold acting, and riveting storytelling will make this HBO series dynamic and entertaining.
