The highly anticipated second season of Lioness, the espionage thriller from Oscar nominee Taylor Sheridan will land on Sunday, October 27th with two episodes, exclusively on Paramount+.
Right out of the gate, season 2 of this hit action packed series steps right back into stride. Audiences will find themselves immersed in the storyline as high stakes military operations, family dynamics, international turmoil, and secret intelligence agencies commune and clash in season 2 of Lioness.
In season two, as the CIA’s fight against terror moves closer to home, Joe (Zoe Saldaña), Kaitlyn (Nicole Kidman), and Byron (Michael Kelly) enlist a new Lioness operative to infiltrate a previously unknown threat. With pressure mounting from all sides, Joe is forced to confront the profound personal sacrifices she has made as the leader of the Lioness program. The series also stars Hollywood veteran Morgan Freeman, Dave Annable, Jill Wagner, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Austin Hébert, Jonah Wharton, Thad Luckinbill and Hannah Love Lanier.
A surprise guest star (No Spoilers) with an integral role was also reveled in the beginning of the season. This addition to the cast proved to be an excellent addition to the already stellar ensemble, bringing an even more gritty, energetic personality, and powerful presence to this action packed series.









Lead character Joe, played by Saldana is smart, as bad a## as they come, and tough as nails. Watching her battle, get bloodied, dirty, and tactical in high stake and action packed scenes is a thing of beauty. Saldana shines in combat and choreographed gun battling scenes. Joe’s heart lies in protecting and serving her country for some of the most highly classified and dangerous international operations and missions. However, she is starting to miss out important milestones and being present in the daily life of her family. Watching the internal conflict Joe faces when leaving for work versus being home only to say goodbye again when another dangerous mission calls is very well written and portrayed in this series. Viewers become engaged in the story being told and they can also relate to the family dynamic and conflict this hard working, yet ambitious parent faces each day.
This season is bigger, bloodier, bolder, and the Lioness team is braver and as bad a## as before! Do not miss out on Lioness season 2!
