Even more funny, dysfunctional, and candid...CHILDREN RUIN EVERYTHING is back!
CHILDREN RUIN EVERYTHING follows Astrid (Meaghan Rath) and James (Aaron Abrams) as they raise their young children in the city, while struggling to hold onto their pre-kid life. Illustrating the hilarious and varied ways kids can wreck happiness, alter plans, annihilate goals and dreams, and force parents to re-invent their lives, the series also explores how maybe that re-invented life is somewhat okay, too. Nowhere near as good as that old, really great life. But still kind of nice.
Season 4 of this hilarious family centric comedy kicked off on Friday, November 29 on The CW.
When we last saw Astrid and James in the season 3, they were hungover and all they wanted to do is lay down in a quiet dark room. deciding to let the kids be on their screens all day seemed like the perfect remedy, however…the internet was down. As calamity ensued, through their pounding headaches and unwelcome house guest, this entertaining duo gave audiences a truly hilarious and authentic portrayal of hungover middle aged parents with morning regret. In several other key episodes last season, viewers saw the family take on more serious issues that involve their daugther Viv’s possible learning disability and workplace struggles. As the season went on, the finale gave way to an abundance of workplace drama for Astrid. However, season 3 was filled with comedy, obstacles, drama, love, family, and witty dialogue.

This season, family life for our favorite foursome is just as chaotic, funny, unfavorable, yet loving and close knit than ever. In the first episode, amid Felix’s new pre teen angst and negative attitude toward his family, Astrid & James have to learn to navigate a new area of parenthood and discipline tactics. Meanwhile Bo and Dawn are welcoming a new bundle of joy in a modern, yet quirky and unconventional celebratory style that the family is trying hard to support regardless of the confusing and borderline questionable circumstances.
Follows Astrid and James in season 4 as they continue to struggle to hold onto their identities while raising their young children in the city. With 36 episodes over 4 seasons, Children Ruin Everything is a laugh out loud sitcom that should be making major noise in headlines and on social media each as each new episode airs.
Check out seasons 1-3 streaming on The CW and the beginning of season 4. Episodes will release weekly on the CW Fridays at 9:00 pm Eastern.
Season 4 brings fun twists and genre-bending episodes, while continuing to be a love letter to parenting, exploring the sweet, challenging, and funny ways having kids will destroy your old life and replace it with something better.
