A Stranger Things animated series, titled Stranger Things: Tales from '85, is set to premiere on Netflix in late 2025.
The series is described as being in the vein of Saturday morning cartoons, hinting at a nostalgic 1980s aesthetic. Set between Seasons 2 & 3, follows the Hawkins kids facing new monsters.
According to Tudum, The Duffers (Matt ad Ross) are executive producing the new project via their Upside Down Pictures production banner, along with Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen via 21 Laps and Eric Robles, who is also the showrunner for the series, via Flying Bark Productions. “We couldn’t be more blown away by what Eric Robles and his team have come up with –– the scripts and artwork are incredible, and we can’t wait to share more with you! New updates were announced Wednesday at Annecy Festival. “Welcome back to Hawkins in the stark winter of '85, where the original characters must fight new monsters and unravel a paranormal mystery terrorizing their town.”
