Gather the family for laughter and fun with "Primos" premiering tonight on Disney Channel!
Primos is a coming-of-age animated comedy that follows Tater Ramirez Humphrey, an eccentric girl with big dreams, determined to find what makes her extraordinary. When her 12 chaotic cousins (“primos” in Spanish) move in for the summer, they help her discover her true self.
Primos premiers today with two episodes on Thursday July 25, 2024 at 8 p.m. EDT on Disney Channel/DisneyXD. The first nine episodes will be available on Disney+ the next day (Friday July 26, 2024).
From creator/executive producer Natasha Kline, Primos is inspired by childhood experiences with her extended multicultural Mexican American family. The series is produced by Philip Cohen and Shaun Cashman serves as supervising director.
This chaotic and funny animated Disney series grabs viewers attention from the very first episode. Throughout the season, audiences watch as family dynamics unfold during a summer filled with laughter, mischief, pranks, and clashes between diverse personalities. As the cousins settle in, topsy-turvy events, turmoil, and unplanned adventure take center stage in every episode.
Kline said, “Primos is set in childhood summers spent with my cousins under one roof, and the comedy that’s borne from that wonderfully hectic setting. As a kid, I didn’t see myself or my culture represented onscreen, so I’m excited to share my family dynamic through these new Disney characters and stories.”

Throughout the series, the ever quirky and eccentric Tater chronicles her summer and aspirations via entries in her super-secret diary, which turn her deepest thoughts into grandiose animation sequences through her larger-than-life imagination. Having an inside view into Tater’s mind and thoughts through her diary entries helps to keeps viewers of all ages engaged and immersed in the stories as the episodes play out on screen.
