180 expeditions are remarkably filmed for this groundbreaking series that reveals the spectacular landscapes of Earth’s most varied landmass – the only one to stretch between both poles.

The Americas takes audiences on an unforgettable and engaging adventure, uncovering new species, new intimate courtship, dramatic deep sea hunting and some of nature’s strangest stories – even a frog that seems to defy death every day.

Each hourlong episode in the 10 episode season features a different iconic location across the Americas: “The Atlantic Coast,” “Mexico,” “The Wild West,” “The Amazon,” “The Frozen North,” “The Gulf Coast,” “The Andes,” “The Caribbean,” “The West Coast” and “Patagonia.”

A new episode premieres each Sundays on NBC.

Tonight, March 23, 2025 , the seventh episode titled, “The Andes”. the long and slender South American mountain chain that spans an impressive 5,000 miles, punctuated by a series of breathtaking 20,000-foot peaks as it hugs the continent’s western edge. In addition to expansive high-resolution glimpses at the range’s spectacular mountain terrain, expect Hanks to dial in on the region’s distinctive native flora and fauna.

“The Andes” is the seventh in the series out of 10. There will be 3 more new episodes airing before The Americas concludes on Sunday, April 21, with a special about how the docuseries was made.

A new episode of The America’s is set to air tonight, Sunday March 23, 2025 on NBC at 8pm ET.
