"Hacks" season 4 proves it's still the perfect dramedy series!
Season 4 of "Hacks" arrives tonight on Max!
Hacks debuts Thursday, April 10 at 6:00 p.m. PT/9:00 p.m. ET. The ten-episode season debuts with two episodes arriving tonight on Max.
In case you aren’t familiar with the tantalizing dramedy, Hacks follows a dark mentorship forms between a legendary Las Vegas comic named Deborah Vance (played by Jean Smart) and a young up and coming comedy writer named Ava (played by Hannah Einbinder).
Season 4 picks up right where season 3 left off. Deborah became the new host of “Late Night”. This was a dream job that she had given up on long ago, meanwhile Ava joined her by scoring the head writer position for “Late Night”. However, in the end of season 3, Ava threatened to reveal some of Deborah’s personal information that involves Bob Lipka (played by Tony Goldwyn), the owner of Deborah’s network.
In this all new season, tensions rise as Deborah and Ava endeavor to get their late night show off the ground and make history doing it.
Audiences will delight in watching the the conflicts, humorous chaos, and backstage backstabbing shenanigans unfold in season 4 of Hacks.








The critically acclaimed series has won several prestigious accolades which include Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Comedy Series, three times Outstanding Lead Actress (for Smart), two times Outstanding Writing, and Outstanding Directing. It also won the Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy for its first and third seasons.
The series stars Jean Smart, Hannah Einbinder, Paul W. Downs, Megan Stalter, Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Mark Indelicato, and Rose Abdoo return alongside Dan Bucatinsky, Helen Hunt, Tony Goldwyn, Kaitlin Olson, Jane Adams, Lauren Weedman, Christopher McDonald, Poppy Liu, Lorenza Izzo, Johnny Sibilly, Paul Felder, Polly Draper, Luenell, and Aristotle Athari.
New cast members include Julianne Nicholson; Michaela Watkins; Bresha Webb; Robby Hoffman; Eric Balfour; Danny Jolles; Gavin Matts; Grover Whitmore, III; Holmes; Jasmine Ashanti; Katy Sullivan; Matt Oberg; and Sandy Honig.
Hacks season 4 will debut one episode a week for four weeks. Episodes seven and eight debut together on May 15, followed by episode nine on May 22 and the season finale debuts on May 29.
