An all new movie from Disney and Pixar has been announced! Titled Gatto, the new movie is set to crawl into theaters in 2027. From Luca director Enrico Casarosa, the film returns to Italy, following a black cat named Nero. Indebted to a feline mob boss, Nero finds himself forced to forge an unexpected friendship that may finally lead him to his purpose...
Here is what we know so far:
• Enrico Casarosa will direct.
• New hand-painted style of animation will be used .
• Follows a music-loving black cat named Nero in Venice who is rejected by locals due to superstitions.
A new look at Daniel Chong's Hoppers was revealed.
The Pixar film follows a girl who transfers her mind into a robot beaver in order to unite the animals and fight off the plans of a real estate developer and help the animals fight the construction plans from the local mayor
Starring Piper Curda, Bobby Moynihan, & Jon Hamm, this animated film is set to hit theaters on March 6, 2026.

Pixar also debuted the first two minutes of the new sequel, titled Toy Story 5 at Annecy Festival on June 13, 2025.
Joan Cusack is confirmed to be returning as the voice of Jessie in Toy Story 5, in theaters June 19, 2026.
A kids tablet LilyPad will be a villain in the film.
The Lily Pad wants to separate Bonnie from her toys, wanting to make her more social. The tablet has a different perception of what’s best for Bonnie in contrast to the toys. Jesse, who is now in charge of Bonnie's toys, decides that they need help, leading her to ask Woody to come back. Pixar also shared concept art, which can be seen below.
Annecy festival goers also got a sneak peek, new looks, and updated storyline information for Zootopia 2.
New information revealed that the sequel will feature returning characters Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin), Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman), and Mr. Big (Maurice LaMarche), and new characters Gary De'Snake (Ke Huy Quan), Nibbles (Fortune Feimster) and Dr. Fuzzby (Quinta Brunson).
It was also announced that French actor Jean Reno has a cameo role as an officer of the Zootopia Police Department.
According Variety, footage shown at Annecy included the duo’s troubled undercover operation, their eccentric therapy sessions with Dr. Fuzzby, and a fast-paced chase involving Gary De’Snake. “Nick and Judy become fugitives, which puts a little strain on their relationship,” said Jared Bush (Walt Disney Animation Studios chief creative officer and director/writer). “So how will they set things right?”
In describing the larger thematic arc, Bush emphasized, “Ultimately, our mismatched pair of a bunny and a fox shows us that even in a polarized world where our differences so often push us apart, sometimes just simply trying to understand each other and talk to each other can be the thing that allows us to mend our broken world together.”
