"Invincible Fight Girl" delivers a knockout in series premiere!
Adult Swim’s new action-comedy series that follows a young girl who dreams of becoming the greatest professional wrestler of all time, BUT there’s a few problems…she doesn’t have any wrestling training whatsoever and she’s stuck in her boring day job as an accountant. Invincible Fight Girl premiered Saturday, November 2, 2024.
The series lands on Adult Swim at midnight during the network’s action/anime block Toonami with two back-to-back episodes. This will be followed by one new episode weekly on Saturday. New episodes will also stream Sundays (the next day) on Max.
Invincible fight girl is funny, honest, entertaining, and brutal. Audiences can immediately connect and relate to lead character Andy (voiced by Sydney Mikayla). Andy is a young girl living in a Wrestling World. She endeavors to become the best pro-wrestler ever, and takes on the alias of "Fight Girl" to make herself known.
The serialized cartoon follows the vintage format used in previous animated action shows like Dragon Ball Z. Bringing heavily based action scenes, emotions, and sports to the forefront.
Scenes in Color was granted preview access to this fun action packed series created by Juston Gordon-Montgomery. After viewing the first few half hour episodes of the season, we felt exhilarated and genuinely engaged with the storyline.
The character Andy is very easily likable, quirky, and talented. As the story unfolds, audiences will understand the family dynamics and societal impacts that create barriers and obstacles that hinder her from reaching her dream of becoming a top pro-wrestler. The series is very well written and the creator Gordon-Montgomerys love for culture, wrestling, and anime shines brightly in this exciting new series. Fans will be ready to enter the ring with Andy and engage in the vibrant and unique new world that Gordon-Montgomery has created.
Blending heavily fight focused episodes to episodes with more dialogue, philosophies, or storytelling provides a healthy mix for fans of multiple genres like drama, to action, and even to nostalgic “Naruto” style anime lovers can find something exciting and entertaining to love throughout the season.

With her parents' reluctant blessing, Andy embarks on the first step of her wrestling journey: finding a teacher. Her task takes her away from home and into the Big City for the first time, where she's quickly confronted with the harsh reality of following one's dreams.
