"Matlock" powers onto CBS with a new twisty reboot.
The new CBS legal drama Matlock seems to be giving a fresh twist to the classic series. Veteran actress Kathy Bates is stepping into the role of Madeline “Matty” Matlock which is an exciting choice that blends her impressive acting range with the nostalgic charm of the original show.
The series follows brilliant septuagenarian Matty Matlock, who achieved success in her younger years, and decides to rejoin the workforce at a prestigious law firm where she uses her unassuming demeanor and wily tactics to win cases and expose corruption from within.
