"Mayor of Kingstown" stuns viewers in season 3 finale on Paramount+
Season 3 of Mayor of Kingstown debuted the seasons finale episode on Sunday August 4, 2024 on Paramount+. If you aren’t familiar with the show, Mayor of Kingstown is a crime drama about an important contemporary issue, America's prison system.
Mayor of Kingstown follows the McLusky family in Kingstown, Michigan, where the business of incarceration is the only thriving industry; the family of power brokers between police, criminals, inmates, prison guards and politicians tackle themes of systemic racism, corruption and inequality; the crime thriller series provides a stark look at their attempt to bring order and justice to a town that has neither.

In season three, a series of explosions rock Kingstown and its citizens, as a new face of the Russian mob sets up shop in the city, and a drug war rages inside and outside prison walls. The pressure is on Mike McLusky (Renner) to end the war but things get complicated when a familiar face from his incarcerated past threatens to undermine the Mayor’s attempts to keep the peace among all factions. Mayor of Kingstown Season 3 premiered on Sunday, June 2, 2024. This 10 episode season saw countless scandals, twists, violent and action packed scenes that kept viewers locked in and engage with the storyline.
In addition to Renner, the series boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Season 3 series regulars Hugh Dillon, Taylor Handley, Emma Laird, Tobi Bamtefa, Derek Webster, Nishi Munshi, Hamish Allan-Headley and Michael Beach.
