"Me" on Apple TV+ is the perfect tween sci-fi drama filled with action, fun, and fantasy!
Me is an Apple TV+ original series that debuts today on July 12, 2024. This show is filled with fun, family, and sci fi suspense which makes for an excellent TV family series. The series also boasts a very talented and diverse cast that truly bring their A game is this thrilling new series.
Me follows a 12-year-old kid named Ben who is in the throes of middle school (complete with bullies, crushes and school dances!) as he adjusts to a newly blended family AND the realization that he has super powers. Throughout the 10-episode season, Ben goes on a journey of self-discovery and learns what having super powers truly means. He finds an ally in his stepsister, Max, who helps him harness these powers and uncover the secrets behind the mysteries and tragedies of his community … all while he tries to come to terms with what it means to be Ben.

Although there are plenty of action scenes, thrilling moments, and awesome visual effect sequences, this series also touches on important topics that many teens face today. This series makes sure to incorporate coming of angst and obstacles along with fun and silly youthful adventures. The trials of self discovery, navigating friendships, and being comfortable with who you are all present in this family fun series.
Me is very inclusive, diverse, and real. On screen, the show does a great justice to how it portrays and raises awareness to many topics that youth as well as parents face daily. This series involves multi racial relationships, blended family dynamics, bullying, sibling relationships, individual identity awareness and the processing of internal emotions. The series flows well as the actors and actresses connect with audiences through great on screen chemistry and relatable dialogue.
Actor Lucian-River Chauhan is phenomenal as lead character Ben. His portrayal of Ben engages audiences from the beginning all the way to the closing scene. Viewers are taken on a thrilling, yet emotional rollercoaster ride with this teen as he discovers his newly found super powers, but most importantly as he discovers the truth about who he truly wants to be.
