Executively produced by award winning entertainer Mary J. Blige, this film is emotional and riveting. It engages viewers and pulls you deep into the story with these complex characters.
At times both intense and heart tugging, Mary J. Bilge’s Family Affair is a film that audiences will love as it showcases the deeper connection and need for support that many people within the black community often feel ashamed or stigmatized about seeking treatment for in fear of feeling judged or frowned upon as “weak”.
A poignant film like this is also a much needed reminder for families that you must continue to check on your loved ones, allow them to maturely express what they’re going through, and take how they are feeling seriously.

While many dark and dramatic topics are highlighted in the film, it’s also filled with beautiful scenes involving friendship, support, joy, and black love. The cast is remarkable and the chemistry between lead characters Kendra and Ben is authentic and steamy.
