New Prime Video series "The Sticky" delivers barrels of laughter and calamity!
The Sticky is a comedy-drama series that premieres on Prime Video on December 6, 2024. The series follows Ruth Landry (played by Margo Martindale), a syrup farmer who turns to crime when the authorities threaten to take away everything she loves; she teams up with a ill tempered and lowly Bostonian mobster and a French-Canadian security guard to heist Quebec's maple syrup surplus. Audiences will be entertained as they watch the characters on this show get caught in “sticky” and laughable situations as they vengefully plot and embark on a journey to steal millions of dollars of maple syrup.
Inspired by a true crime, the Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist, which made headlines around the world in 2011-2012 when 70 per cent of the global maple syrup supply about $18m (£10m) worth was stolen.
The Sticky is a fictional tale created by Brian Donovanx, Ed Herro and Kathryn Borel. The series is directed by Michael Dowse and Joyce Wong.
