Based on the Dark Horse comics, Resident Alien follows a crash-landed alien named Harry and his life on planet Earth. The comedic undertones mixed with thrilling storylines makes this oddball, sci fi, and quirky drama a fun and entertaining watch.
The fourth season starts with Harry and his baby Bridget stuck in prison on the Grey Moonbase, while a shape-shifting Alien called a Mantid has taken over his body on Earth passing himself off as the real Harry Vanderspeigle. Harry manages to escape the Greys and arrives back on Earth for a showdown with the Mantid Alien but soon finds he may not have what he needs to finish the job. Asta and D’arcy struggle to keep a secret from Ben and Kate, who are both desperate to find answers to what has been happening to them. Sheriff Mike and Deputy Liv attempt to solve some mysterious deaths in Patience that Sheriff Mike is beginning to think aren’t caused by anything human.
The series stars Alan Tudyk, Sara Tomko, Alice Wetterlund, Corey Reynolds, Elizabeth Bowen, Levi Fiehler, Meredith Garretson and Judah Prehn.
Season 4 premiered a week ago on June 6, 2025. New episodes release weekly on Fridays at 11:00 pm ET on USA Network or SyFy. Alan Tudyk makes his television directorial debut helming the first two episodes of the season.
Gary Farmer, Gracelyn Awad Rinke, Jenna Lamia, Sarah Podemski, Linda Hamilton, Enver Gjokaj, Terry O’Quinn, Edi Patterson return for season four alongside new guest stars Jewel Staite and Stephen Root.
Season 4 continues to keep audiences laughing at all of the strange and exciting storylines. Even with a shift onto a new galaxy at USA Network, the loyal fanbase should be able to easily transition as well as capture the eyes of some new intergalactic loving sci fi fans.
