Season 2 of Reasonable Doubt debuted today on Hulu with a 2-episode release. This 10 episode season will have weekly episode releases on Hulu every Thursday until the finale on October 17, 2024.
Reasonable Doubt is an American legal drama television series created by Raamla Mohamed for Hulu. The series stars a female, African-American lawyer named Jacqueline "Jax" Stewart (played by Emayatzy Corinealdi). Jax is as a corporate defense lawyer with a tough resume known for navigating challenging high-profile cases and winning them. However, as much as Jax has it together in the courtroom, her personal life is almost the opposite. As viewers saw in season 1, scandals, betrayals, secrets, family turmoil, and past traumas all play a role in how Jax’s personal life seems to be unraveling.
Audiences fell in love with and became emotionally invested in Jax and her story early on in season 1 of this dicey drama. Jax is smart, sexy, wealthy, sophisticated, and relentless in the courtroom. The currently married mother of 2 seems to have it all handled on the surface, but as the story unfolds, audiences get a in deeper look into Jax Stewart and things aren’t quite sailing as smoothly as they seem. The writers of this series do an incredible job of keeping viewers engaged and locked in as the plot develops throughout the storytelling process.
Last season, Jax had past traumas that were beginning to rise and lurk in the shadows. In season 2, both past and recent traumas are present and triggering. This leads to a different way in which viewers see Jax’s character than in the previous season. Although a direct and more personal look into Jax is shown, season 2 isn’t short of its controversial legal topics, heavily contentious family issues, and intense and emotive dialogue sequences.
Reasonable Doubt touches on topics ranging from black love, to black excellence, to black mental health, to black family, friendship dynamics and much much more….this series is riveting, meaningful, and entertaining!
Season 2 of the executively produced Raamla Mohamed, Kerry Washington and Larry Wilmore drama also added some new top talent to its already stellar cast which includes:
