Reinvented for season 7, All American has a fresh and exciting kickoff on the CW.
Huddle up for a special sneak peek on Wednesday, January 29 at 8:00pm ET.
All American is an American sports drama television series that premiered on The CW in 2018. The series follows the lives of a group of teens from both Crenshaw and Beverly Hills. The show primarily revolved around the world of sports and dramatic teen angst. Daniel Ezra has starred in the lead role since the inaugural season as Spencer James, a rising star football player from Crenshaw whose dream is to make it to the NFL that gets recruited by coach Billy Baker to play for his high school team in Beverly Hills.
Now, in season 7, the show is reborn again. There’s a new set of teens to follow as they reignite sports rivalries from the past, navigate teenage trials, and come of age while also leaning on a few familiar faces for advice and support.
Season 7 will have a special sneak peek on Wednesday, January 29 at 8:00pm ET, before premiering in its regular times slot on Monday, February 3 at 8:00pm ET.
Last season, audiences saw some of their beloved characters like Spencer and his friends begin momentous new chapters of their lives. Season 6 included NFL dreams being fulfilled, multiple weddings, and new career paths be embarked upon which led to several key characters heading to the East Coast, leaving California behind.

Besides Spencer and Olivia tying the knot, main characters Jordan Baker (Michael Evans Behling) and Layla Keyting (Greta Onieogou) were also wed. Now, for the first time since 2018, Spencer will no longer be a series regular. However, many familiar faces who’ve fans have grown to love will still be present and seen in more mature and adult like roles as the series transitions for season 7.
Both Michael Evans Behling and Greta Onieogou will star in season 7 as well as other old faces and plenty of new comers. Another notable familiar face is Bre-Z who will continue the role of Tamia "Coop" Cooper.
New additions include actors Nathaniel McIntyre, Osy Ikhile, Antonio J. Bell, and Alexis Chikaeze. McIntyre plays the show's new lead KJ, Beverly's newly transferred quarterback. Joining him at Beverly is his father, Coach Cassius, portrayed by Ikhile.
When speaking to THR, Actor Daniel Ezra said “I still plan on keeping Spencer’s presence alive,” Ezra says of James no longer being a lead character on the show. “But it’s time for us to send him off into the world as the man that we all watched him turn into.”
Season 7 episode 1 is superbly titled, “Reborn”. The synopsis reads, summer is ending and as the new school year is about to start, so is a new chapter. As the new QB coach at Crenshaw, Jordan (Michael Evans Behling) is caught between being his players coach and their friend, which causes discord with his boss, Coach Bobby and his starting quarterback, Yasi. Meanwhile, Kingston’s (Nathaniel McIntyre) world is upended when he learns the secret that his parents, Cassius (Osy Ikhile) and Ava, have been keeping from him. Elsewhere, Khalil (Antonio J. Bell) challenges the school system. Still not quit mature teenager Amina strives for more independence, and Coop (Bre-Z) and Layla (Greta Onieogou) struggle to find their footing in a new dynamic.

Creator, executive producer, and showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll stated that “I needed to figure out a way to keep the show going… even with the Vortex graduating to their dreams. I’m going to be honest; I didn’t know if we could pull it off a second time”.
