TV One's Savor The City premieres Thursday, April 3 at 8/7 C. The series kicks off on Thursday, April 3, at 8 P.M./7 P.M., with its premiere episode set in Napa Valley, a region gaining recognition for Black excellence in food and wine.
Known for his masterful fusion of bold Southern flavors with contemporary flair, “Savor the City” and Chef Jernard Wells lead audiences on a tour through some of the nation’s most influential cities, revealing the untold stories of Black culinary and regional history. From the fiery beginnings of Nashville hot chicken to the vibrant Afro-Caribbean influences of Miami, “Savor the City” celebrates the legacy of these chefs, food innovators and entrepreneurs by showcasing how food is connected through history and identity. With appearances by Fawn Weaver of Uncle Nearest, Robin McBride of the McBride Sisters Collection and more, this season includes stops in New Orleans, Sag Harbor, San Francisco, Martha’s Vineyard, Napa Valley, the Bahamas and more.
