Sci-Fi series "Murderbot" is renewed ahead of season 1 finale on Apple TV+.

Murderbot starring Alexander Skarsgård debuted May 16, 2025 on Apple TV+ with a 2 episode release. The sci-fi action comedy is created by Paul Weitz and Chris Weitz. Based on All Systems Red, the first book of the series The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells follows a media-obsessed private security construct (manufactured from cloned human tissue and mechanical parts), calling itself Murderbot. Murderbot must hide its newly acquired autonomy, while completing dangerous assignments and being simultaneously drawn to humans and appalled at their weakness.

This tantalizing and funny series was renewed for a second season on yesterday, just ahead of the season 1 finale.
