The series continues to center on a clever con woman (Morgan) with a by-the-book cop (Gianniotti), who are forced to work together by the Metro Police. Opposites collide, trust is tested, crimes are solved, and I supervise from the most inconvenient surfaces imaginable. This crime dramedy series is known for its intricate cases, tantalizing chemistry between leads, comedic tone, plot twists, and unpredictable cliff hangers became The CW’s most-watched new scripted show in 2024.
In Season 3, Ellis is back from his downtime in Mexico, bringing with him a renewed passion for his work. This season the show doubles down on what fans adore: clever storytelling, rom-com style chemistry, campy surprises, and yes, my triumphant return as Marc the Cat. Light on its feet and full of heart, it’s a weekly reset from the noise and a break from the world we all need.

Season 3 episode 1 titled “Rack 'Em Up" is written by Michael Konyves And directed by Andy Mikita. In this very interesting season opening episode, Max and Ellis go undercover to catch someone who murdered a local pool hustler. As they navigate fixed games and a clever revenge plot, Max is juggling an even bigger secret.
This season adds an additional dimension to the story for Max with the return of her mom, who she thought was dead. But the mother/daughter reunion is ruined by the news that a shadowy crime lord wants back the money that’s rightfully his and he'll kill them all and everyone they know and love if he doesn't get it. To settle their score and ensure that doesn’t happen, all they have to do is pull off a job for him. Dangerous new criminals and unforeseen circumstances will make this season one of the best hand most entertaining yet!
