The 10-episode third season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds premiered on Paramount Plus on July 17, 2025 with two new episodes. Following the premiere, new episodes will drop weekly on Thursdays, with the season finale on Thursday, September 11. Exciting adventures, new romances, and dangerous worlds await!
The Paramount+ hit sci-fi series STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS is based on the years Captain Christopher Pike manned the helm of the U.S.S. Enterprise. The series follows Captain Pike, Science Officer Spock, Number One and the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise in the years before Captain Kirk boarded the starship, as they explore new worlds around the galaxy.
The series stars Anson Mount as Christopher Pike, Rebecca Romijn as Una Chin-Riley, Ethan Peck as Spock, Jess Bush as Christine Chapel, Christina Chong as La’An Noonien-Singh, Celia Rose Gooding as Nyota Uhura, Melissa Navia as Erica Ortegas and Babs Olusanmokun as Joseph M’Benga. Season two also featured the return of special guest star Paul Wesley as James T. Kirk and new addition Carol Kane in a recurring role as Pelia who will also appear in this third season.
In season 3 tough decisions will be made, which may have dire and long term consequences. A new formidable villain will also arise, challenging the crew and leading to dangerous and dicey situations.
Invigorating, mysterious, adventurous, and filled with intergalactic laughter, friendship, and love, this season of is set out on a path to take the series to new heights!
As of June 12, 2025 Paramount+ has officially announced that the series has been renewed for a fourth season, which is currently in production and a fifth and final season.
