Survivors of catastrophic disasters tell their stories in "Survival Mode" on NBC.
From the producers of Dateline comes the new weekly TV series Survival Mode. Survival Mode premieres Monday, July 7 at 10/9c on NBC and streams the next day on Peacock.
Survivors of catastrophic disasters tell their stories. With hurricane and travel season in full swing, a docuseries from NBC News Studios relives recent natural and transportation disasters with rare footage and interviews with survivors, loved ones and first responders.
Due to the recent natural disaster tragedies and flooding in Texas, NBC has decided to push back the “Hurricane Ian” episode of the series. The episode that was originally scheduled to air on today, July 7, focuses on survivors' stories from Fort Myers Beach during Hurricane Ian.
Now, the premiere episode will feature the 2011 Joplin, Missouri tornado disaster and “The Hurricane” Ian episode will air on July 21 instead.
According to USA Today, as of today more than 80 people across six Texas counties — including at least 28 children — have died as a result of the recent flash flooding after the Guadalupe River near San Antonio overflowed.
The harrowing new series Survival Mode will chronicle several recent disasters through firsthand accounts from survivors plus rare and never before seen footage. Some episodes will include disasters and tragedies such as the Maui wildfires, the Amtrak 501 derailment, Superstorm Sandy and the sinking of the Costa Concordia.
