Suspenseful drama “Sugar Baby” is anything but a sweet tale.

This dark new film lands on BET+ February 13, 2025.

Created by Shaun Sinclair and Emma Franklin, Sugar Baby stars Christina Cooper as Jade, a woman who wants to find direction again after her criminal boyfriend G-Ro (T.J. Atoms) is sent to jail and she hits a low point both financially and mentally. She is described as someone who is vulnerable, but still “possesses a hidden resilience and a deep desire to discover who she is without him.” While she’s on a path of self-discovery and navigating the Sugar Baby-Sugar Daddy dynamic, she meets Anthony (Lance Gross), a “wealthy and charismatic widower, and strikingly handsome man who exudes confidence and charm.”

Audiences will have to buckle up for this emotional and thrilling roller-coaster ride.

The film also stars Teresa Topnotch, Ciera Angelia, Efrangeliz Medina and Nikki Dixon.

The film description states, when her boyfriend lands in prison, Jade (Cooper) struggles financially and becomes a sugar baby to a wealthy older man(Gross). Upon her boyfriend's release, she must choose between her past love and her new lifestyle.

The chemistry between Gross and Cooper is electrifying and smooth! This dark tale showcases how past traumas from life and prior relationships can rear their ugly head and shape future partner expectations.
