"Task" is all new crime series landing on HBO and Sky this September.

Task will premiere in September 2025, with an exact date yet to be revealed. Meanwhile, HBO has revealed that the seven-episode season will air on a weekly basis on HBO (US) and Sky (UK), and will simultaneously stream on HBO Max (US) and NOW (UK).
Task is a new miniseries set in working-class suburbs outside Philadelphia. The miniseries follows FBI agent Tom Brandis (Mark Ruffalo) who heads a Task Force to put an end to a string of violent robberies led by an unsuspecting family man (Tom Pelphrey).
The series stars Mark Ruffalo, Emilia Jones, Tom Pelphrey, Jamie McShane, Sam Keeley, Thuso Mbedu, Fabien Frankel, Alison Oliver, Raúl Castillo, Silvia Dionicio, Phoebe Fox, and Martha Plimpton.
Task is created, written by Brad Ingelsby who also serves as show runner and executive producer. Other executive producers are directors Jeremiah Zagar and Salli Richardson-Whitfield, along with Mark Roybal, Paul Lee, Mark Ruffalo, David Crockett, and Ron Schmidt. Co-executive producers on the show include Nicole Jordan-Webber and Jeremy Yaches.
