The initial reviews are in and the prognosis looks good!
St. Denis Medical has positive reviews ahead of premiere.
St. Denis Medical premieres on November 12 on NBC. This new medical comedy is a mockumentary style series is about an underfunded, understaffed Oregon hospital where the dedicated doctors and nurses try their best to treat patients while maintaining their own sanity.
The series stars Wendi McLendon-Covey, David Alan Grier, Allison Tolman, Josh Lawson, Kahyun Kim, Mekki Leeper and Kaliko Kauahi.
The series is co-created and executive produced by Eric Ledgin and Justin Spitzer. Simon Heuer also executive produces with director Ruben Fleischer (pilot only). Eric Ledgin serves as showrunner.
Funny, sarcastic, odd, and humorous. This series will keep fans laughing and entertained from start to finish. St. Denis Medical delivers a very fresh and less mellow dramatic feel than most hospital dramas while also making the characters relatable enough for audiences to understand and connect to their subtle emotional and personal sides.
A more detailed synopsis of the series states that devoted nurse Alex has just been promoted to Supervising Nurse in the emergency department at St. Denis Medical Center in Oregon. She works alongside an eclectic team of underfunded yet dedicated doctors, nurses and hospital staff, including her boss, Joyce, who wants nothing more than to turn the hospital into an international medical destination, and Dr. Ron, who's done it all, seen it all and is pretty much over it all. They're all doing their best not to lose their patience in a hospital overrun with patients -- while caring for everyone who comes in the door, including each other.
The talented ensemble let by Grier brings an immense amount of humor and comedy in every episode. Tolman steals the show and brings a wry, quirky, over worked, passionate, and relatable character to life through her comedic tone and snarky delivery.

St. Denis Medical provides plenty of workplace humor, amusing shenanigans, chaos, and understaffed employee vibes along with just enough sentimental moments that could make this show a multi-season hit series on NBC.
St. Denis Medical is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, and Spitzer Holding Company.
The series opens its hospital doors on Tuesday, Nov. 12 with back-to-back episodes. The series will continue the following week in its regular 8 p.m with weekly Tuesday episode releases.
