New British mystery The Marlow Murder Club opens with retired archeologist Judith Potts leaving her beautiful home near the River Thames in the sleepy village of Marlow. As she heads out of her mansion that she inherited for her nightly swim, she hears a gunshot near her neighbor’s house and calls the police. Judith is not taken seriously when she reports this crime. Then, the same neighbor who is an art gallery owner seemingly goes missing, she takes it upon herself to do some digging and investigating those who she deems may be a suspect.
From the very first episode, this series proves that its authentic, mysterious, dangerous, and that Judith isn’t your typical nosey senior neighbors just stirring the pot, together this trio is smart, funny, genuine, and out to seek justice. Often underestimated, they will prove to viewers that they should be taken serious when it comes to crime solving and clue matching.

The Marlow Murder Club is the first of three cozy crime novels that Thorogood sets in the small but affluent village of Marlow, England. The book was nominated for the Mystery Writers of America’s prestigious Edgar® Awards, which honor the best in mystery fiction, nonfiction, TV, film and theater.
In the PBS series, Samantha Bond takes the lead as Judith Potts, alongside Jo Martin as Suzie Harris, Cara Horgan as Becks Starling and Natalie Dew as DS Tanika Malik. Steve Barron is set to direct.
Throw together three spunky ladies from disparate walks of life, place them in a flawless English village, whisk in humor, then add an ingenious murder, and you have the tasty main ingredients for The Marlow Murder Club. The series airs Sundays at 9/8c. It started on October 27, 2024 and will run episodes weekly until November 17, 2024.
