“The Pitt” on MAX brings viewers to the center of the intense and unpredictable Pittsburgh ER!
The Pitt is Max's new drama set in the emergency room of Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital. The Pitt stars Noah Wyle as Dr. Michael "Robby" Rabinavitch. The hospital staff work around the clock to save lives in an overcrowded and underfunded emergency department which makes this depiction of a city hospital workplace an authentic and outstanding medical drama.
The Pitt was given a 15-episode, straight-to-series order in March 2024. Each episodes covers an hour of a single 15-hour ER visit. The series premieres on January 9 with two episodes, followed by weekly releases every Thursday on Max until April 10, 2025.
Dr. Robby faces daily challenges while overseeing interns and treating critical patients, highlighting the real struggles for frontline heroes in the healthcare industry today. Long hours and difficult days are just some of the stressors that plague healthcare workers. Each shift is unpredictable and presents its own set of challenges all the while the overall goal is always to be focused and continue working to treat patients and save lives.
