California native Kris Bowers is an American composer, pianist and documentary director. Kris Bowers produced original scores for the first 2 season of the Netflix hit series Bridgerton. Bridgerton is an adaptation of the novel series Bridgerton by Julia Quinn. Bowers has also produced music for Netflix series Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, which consist of a soundtrack compilation with pop song representation in the form a classical music. The music throughout both series sets the tone and mood for many emotionally heavy, impactful, and dramatic scenes. The music serves as a bridge that transports viewers right into the lavish ball rooms and into centuries old time periods as the story plays out.
