In season 2 of the thrilling Walking Dead Universe spinoff TWD: Dead City, the series headed back to post-apocalyptic Manhattan, where Maggie and Negan battle beauty, terror, and the undead.
The Walking Dead Universe is ever expanding, this hit horror franchise has been a cultural phenomenon on AMC for more than a decade now. Season 2 of TWD: Dead City premiered last night at 9PM ET on AMC. The show is 1 of 3 spinoffs from the original The Walking Dead show which include, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon spinoffs.
In season 1, The Walking Dead: Dead City follows Maggie and Negan on a mission in Manhattan to save a kidnapped Hershel (Maggie’s son) from a ruthless and strange former acquaintance, turned nemesis of Negan named “The Croat”. Season 1 premiered in June 2023 and was renewed for another season after a long wait for the passionate and excited fans of the franchise.
Now, the quest for control over the city and what limited resources are left is up for grabs. With danger lurking around every corner, the undead aren’t the only threat looking to kill or take a bite out of someone. The horror filled and exhilarating survival series continues to wow and draw fans in each episode as the fight for survival continues to rage on!
The cast of TWD: Dead City season 2 includes Lauren Cohan as Maggie, Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan, Gaius Charles, Željko Ivanek, Mahina Napoleon, and Logan Kim. The new season introduces some very exciting and eccentric new characters played by Kim Coates, Dascha Polanco, and more.
With a slightly higher episode count than season 1, The Walking Dead: Dead City season 2 features eight episodes. It also marks a directorial debut for lead star Lauren Cohan.
This season sets a new tone for what it takes to survive, build, understand life in the apocalypse, and honor allegiances.








New episodes of The Walking Dead: Dead City will air weekly on AMC on Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET.
Episodes are available to stream on AMC+ and Prime Video with a subscription. Season 1 along with other The Walking Dead Universe series and spinoffs are available to stream on Prime Video, AMC+, and Netflix.
