Sylvester Stallone is back for season 2 in his critically acclaimed inaugural scripted series as recently released from prison, mafia boss Dwight "The General" Manfredi for a second season of the hit original series Tulsa King. The series premiered on September 15, 2024 on Paramount+. Tulsa King will have 10 episodes total this season with new episodes releasing every Sunday at midnight PT/3 a.m. ET on Paramount+ until the season finale on November 17, 2024. In season 1, audiences saw a newly released Dwight back home on day 1 after serving a 25-year prison term to protect his crime boss Pete, the head of the Invernizzi family mafia. Things aren’t exactly as smooth as Dwight would like them to be and the game has changed a lot since he was away in prison. Pete has Meanwhile, Pete promoted his son Chickie and Vince in the crime family and the dynamics of whose in charge and who is going to play what role at the top have shifted. Dwight is sent to Tulsa, Oklahoma by his boss Pete to rule his own new territory as the King of Tulsa. There, he builds a criminal empire with Tyson, Lawrence, Mitch, and Manny. After a series of events unfold, drama and past betrayals are reveled leading Dwight to enact revenge and violence on old friends and new foes alike in the name of loyalty, love, and his estranged daughter Tina.
Veteran actor Sylvester Stallone is brilliant as the character Dwight Manfredi. He shines in this leading and powerful role. Stallone utilizes his ability to portray poise under pressure with a menacing presence which makes this crime drama stand out. His use of smooth, accent heavy rhetoric, muscular disposition, and display of desire to be a family man torn between the past and present life of crime is superb.
Alongside Stallone, Tulsa King also stars Martin Starr, Jay Will, Max Casella, Vincent Piazza, Tatiana Zappardino, Annabella Sciorra, Neal McDonough, Frank Grillo, Domenick Lombardozzi, Andrea Savage, Garrett Hedlund, and Dana Delany.
