Twisted legal drama "Duplicity" starring Kat Graham hits #1!
Currently #1, Duplicty premiered on March 20, 2025 on Prime Video. The film follows a skilled and high profile attorney named Marley Wells (played by Kat Graham) who is seeking justice. Marley is seeking justice for a black man who under questionable circumstances, was fatally shot by the police. Blending themes surrounding police brutality, flaws within the legal system, hidden agendas, and unfair biased, the film created and written by Tyler Perry finds a way to be emotionally moving, engaging, and entertaining.
In just a few days since debuting, this film has soared to # 1 in the US and #3 in the UK on Prime Video. This film feels like its a movie within a movie. Thrilling, dark, twisted, and tantalizing, audiences are gifted plenty of wild and unpredictable moments that will have them second guessing what truly lies around every corner.
Along with Graham, the film stars Ronreaco Lee, Tyler Lepley, and Meagan Tandy.
As the story unfolds, Marley along with her boyfriend (Tyler Lepley) – a former cop turned private investigator helps her to search for what really happened regarding the tragic police shooting. As more questions arise and things began to come to light, Marley is lead down a treacherous maze of deception and betrayal.
Duplicity is the second film produced under the four-picture deal with Amazon Studios that Perry signed with Amazon Studios back in 2022. The first film, Divorce in The Black starring Meagan Good and Cory Hardrict was released in 2024.
