Uplifting docuseries "Harlem Ice" glides onto Disney+!
For nearly three decades, Figure Skating in Harlem (FSH) has been a trailblazing force that has been dedicated to helping girls ages 6-18 transform their lives both on the ice and off. Their innovative programs blend education and skating, fostering self-confidence, leadership, physical well-being, and academic excellence.
Harlem Ice is a 5-part docuseries that debuts on Disney+ February 12, 2025. It follows the girls of Figure Skating in Harlem as they prepare for competitions, performances and a life changing global experience. Through their eyes, viewers will experience the highs and lows of the FSH Season, and the unique experiences they have as girls of color breaking the ice ceiling and gaining access to a global stage.

The girls centered in the docuseries Harlem Ice are passionate, bright, vibrant, athletic, funny, and eager to take on challenges and forge exciting paths in the rink and in their personal lives.
The 5 part documentary takes audiences on a first hand and in depth look at the daily life of young and ambitious ice skaters of color who train and are raised in Harlem, NY. Not only does this series chronicle what life is like for these girls as athletes, but it also showcases the obstacles, trials, and triumphs that they face in their daily lives and as figure skaters competing as girls of color in a predominantly all white sport.
Surrounded by uplifting, hopeful, and understanding adults in the form of parents, mentors, and coaches, these young girls are remarkable and determined to leave their mark on the world.
This entertaining and moving docuseries is a reminder of how important and impactful the community, team sports, and youth programs can be for young people.
