Yellowstone prequel “1923” brings harsh times to the Dutton family in season 2.
Set in the early 20th century, western tv series “1923” from creator Taylor Sheridan in the second Yellowstone tv series prequel. Following the prequel “1883”, this series, now in its second season chronicles life of the ancestors of current time period John Dutton (Kevin Costner) from Yellowstone.
“1923” follows the Duttons ranch patriarch Jacob (Harrison Ford) and matriarch Cara (Helen Mirren). It also follows Jacob, the brother of James Dutton, the original Dutton settler played by Tim McGraw in "1883."
The second season of “1923” premieres on Sunday February 23, 2025 on Paramount+. Season 2 ushers in a cruel winter, bringing new challenges and unfinished business to Jacob and Cara back at Dutton ranch. With harsh conditions and adversaries threatening to end the Dutton legacy, Spencer (Brandon Sklenar) embarks on an arduous journey home, racing against time to save his family in Montana. Meanwhile, Alexandra (Julia Schlaepfer) sets off on her own harrowing trans-Atlantic journey to find Spencer and reclaim their love.
Viewers can expect to see a change for the Dutton clan. Now at a disadvantage and facing struggles during the heart of winter, this season will be one to remember! Filled with action, gritty, and emotional moments, season 2 of “1923” will engage and immerse viewers in the story.
